John P. Allen Sr.

Mr. Allen, 85, of East Brunswick, died June 22, 2007, at home. Prior to his retirement in 1985, he was employed as a millwright with E.I. DuPont, Parlin section of Sayreville, where he worked for 44 years. His wife, Sophie Yanush Allen, died in 2006, and a son, Scott Allen, died in 1985. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Lotti, and her husband, John, and Karen Allen Guen, and her husband, Leo, all of East Brunswick; three sons, John P. Jr., and his companion, Denise Mele, of the Forked River section of Lacey, Larry, and his wife, Sandy, of Smithville, Ohio, and Kevin, and his wife, Diane, of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Rosemarie Gatsch, and her husband, Don, of Freehold; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services were held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Spotswood. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 505 Main St., Spotswood, NJ 08884.

Hugo Stockburger

Hugo Stockburger, of Milltown, retired major, New Jersey State Police, died June 21, 2007, in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. As a state trooper, he served as a guard in 1934-35 for Bruno Richard Hauptmann, who was convicted and executed for the kidnapping and murder of the Lindbergh baby. Mr. Stockburger's wife, Elizabeth Balogh Stockburger, died in 1993. Surviving are a son, James H. Stockburger of Milltown; and a nephew, Walter, of Germany. Services are planned for 11 a.m. on June 28 at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Interment will follow in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Grace "Gizella" Kosa

Mrs. Kosa, 89, of South River, died June 20, 2007, in Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. She was a seamstress who worked in several local garment factories. Her husband, Alex, died in 1994, and a son, Alex, died in 2001. Surviving are two sons, Frank of Las Vegas, Nev., and Joseph of Manahawkin; two daughters, Irene of Egg Harbor and Kathleen Place of Owego, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stephen Protomartyr Church, South River. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, also South River.

William J. Guzinski

Mr. Guzinski, 59, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, died May 30, 2007, at home. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Lenora Guzinski. Surviving are his wife, Marianne Costa Guzinski; a daughter, Gloria Guzinski of Middlesex; a sister, Barbara Guzinski of Old Bridge; his in-laws, John and Irene Costa of Marlboro; and a sister-in-law, Irene Costa of Aberdeen. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Keyport. Arrangements were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave., Norwalk, CT 06851.

Patrick J. Platukis

Mr. Platukis, 49, of Old Bridge, died June 18, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a forklift operator for the past 12 years with Minteq, Sayreville. Surviving are his wife, Sandy; two daughters, Christina and Jennifer, both at home; his father, Daniel of Old Bridge; a brother, Daniel, and a sister, Diane, both of Old Bridge; and an aunt, Marion of Hazelton, Pa. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Way.

Canio Santora

Mr. Santora, 78, of South Amboy, died June 19, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Diane M. Santora, died in 2004. Surviving are a son, Kenneth Santora, and his wife, Sandra, of Palm Bay, Fla.; a daughter, Diane Smith, and her husband, William, of Bridgewater; two sisters, Theresa Ostynski of Jackson and Josephine Maritoto Spell of California; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.

Caroline L. Schweizer Corcoran

Mrs. Corcoran, 72, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, died June 14, 2007, in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Her husband, Edward Corcoran, died in 1997. Surviving are five daughters, Annemarie Corcoran, Lynn Berghahn, Carol Orchard, Kelly Popowych and Laurie Szeles; a son, Edward Corcoran; a sister, Lorraine; and 10 grandchildren. Services were held at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.

Millie Piccolo

Mrs. Piccolo, 75, of Manalapan, formerly of Sayreville and Old Bridge, died June 8, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement in 1992, she was a dietitian for Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge, for 10 years. She was predeceased in 1997 by her husband, Ralph Sr., and in 1992 by a son, Pat. Surviving are three sons, Salvatore and John Piccolo, both of Manalapan, and Ralph Piccolo Jr. of Englishtown; two brothers, Joseph Scafidi of Old Bridge and Anthony Scafidi of Victorville, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holmdel Cemetery.

David C. Murphy

Mr. Murphy, 56, of Old Bridge, died June 17, 2007, in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are his wife, Bernadine; four sons, Joseph Sherman Jr. and William Sherman, both of Keansburg, Anthony Sherman of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown and Norman Sherman of Frenchtown; three daughters, Nancy Pump of Stockton, Donna Sherman of Old Bridge and Elizabeth Sherman of Matawan; a brother, Raymond Tietke of Jackson; three sisters, Edna Black of Howell, Ellie DePoortere of Lopatcong, Pa., and Christina Anderson of Maryland; 15 grandchildren; an aunt, Edna Tietke of Jackson; eight nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Cremation was private.

Clara Marie Yaskoweak Przewoznik

Mrs. Przewoznik, 74, of Old Bridge, formerly of Edison, died June 22, 2007, in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1965, she was employed for 20 years with Revlon, Edison. Her husband, Charles, died in 2000. Surviving are four daughters, Gloria Prusakowski of Philadelphia, Christina McCarthy of the Toms River section of Dover, Sandra Fallon of Old Bridge, and Kimberly Drako, and her husband, Robert, of Spotswood; a brother, Anthony Yaskoweak of Spotswood; three sisters, Dorothy Ronscavage of Branchburg, Leona Hozlock of Wilkes Barre, Pa., and Helen Stencik of Pennsylvania; and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on June 28 at Spotswood Funeral Home. A liturgy is planned for 11:30 a.m. in the chapel at Frost Woods Memorial Park, East Brunswick. Entombment will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spotswood Fire Department, 495 Main St., Spotswood, NJ 08884.
