AARP benefit dinner to aid wounded soldiers

East Brunswick AARP Chapter No. 4855 will sponsor A Benefit for Wounded Soldiers from 5-10 p.m. on Aug. 17 at Ria Mar Restaurant, 25 Whitehead Ave., South River.

The event will feature a cocktail hour, dinner, entertainment by Bill Lewis, and the history of America in song by Richard Roden.

Proceeds will support Fisher House at Brook Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, where a large number of burn victims and critically wounded soldiers return after their deployment in war zones.

Ad-journal sponsors are sought. Deadline for ads is July 27. Dinner-reservation deadline is Aug. 1.
