Registration under way for library teen events
The Old Bridge Public Library Main Branch, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, and the Laurence Harbor Branch, Shoreland Circle, will host several upcoming teen programs.
The following events require registration:
• July 19 at 7 p.m. at the Main Branch - "Teen Jeopardy!";
• July 26 at 7 p.m. at the Main Branch and Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Laurence Harbor Branch - "Flashlight Night," mysterious stories with teens and Lenore Douglas;
• July 30 at 7 p.m. at the Main Branch - "Meet the Author and Book-It!," with Eireann Corrigan, author of "Splintering," "Ordinary Ghosts" and "You Remind Me of You";
• Aug. 2 at 5:15 p.m. at the Laurence Harbor Branch and 7 p.m. at the Main Branch - "Make-It-Take-It: Altered Books Night," transforming books that have seen better days;
• Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Main Branch - "CSI: Old Bridge," featuring members of the Old Bridge Police Department in an evening of forensic crime-solving (open to teens and adults);
• Aug. 17, 4:30-11 p.m. at the Main Branch - "Summer Lock-In," featuring games, reading, eating and relaxing (parental/guardian form required, participants must be registered members of the Teen Summer Reading Program to attend);
• Aug. 20, 5:15-8:45 p.m. at the Main Library - Old Bridge Star auditions, individual acts only;
• Aug. 25 at 2:30 p.m. at the Main Branch - Old Bridge Star finals during the library's end-of-summer celebration.
