Clementine Quinn Walsh
Mrs. Walsh, 88, of Sayreville, died July 16, 2007, in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Garrett J. Jr., died in 1994. Surviving are three children, Garrett J. III of Flemington, Sharon of Sayreville and Kathleen Cosgrove of Penn Argyle, Pa.; a nephew, Jack Quinn of Spring Lake Heights; four grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105.
Felicia A. Tomaszewski
Ms. Tomaszewski, 35, of Warren Grove, formerly of Sayreville, died July 23, 2007, in Hartwyck at Edison. Her mother, Dolores Modzelewski Tomaszewski, died in 2006. Surviving are her father, Robert Tomaszewski of Sayreville; a brother, Robert Tomaszewski, and his wife, Alicia, of Sayreville; a sister, Michelle Tomaszewski, also of Sayreville; two nieces and a nephew; and her companion, Donald Orpen of Warren Grove. Visitation is planned for 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., with services at 8:30 p.m., on July 26 at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville.
Robert Kaiser
Mr. Kaiser, 78, of Howell, formerly of Old Bridge, died July 3, 2007, in Care One at Jackson. He was predeceased by a son, Alan, in 1977. Surviving are his wife, Harriet Kaiser; a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Kelly Kaiser of Howell; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Genece and Larry Cornell of Florida, Joi and Thomas Faraci of Staten Island, N.Y., and Marni Kaiser of Howell; a brother, Howard Kaiser of New Hyde Park, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Interment was in Beth Abraham Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Edward M. Schultz
Mr. Schultz, 84, of the Cheesequake Village section of Old Bridge, died July 23, 2007, in Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation, Red Bank. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a paint tester with National Lead, Sayreville, and as a security guard with Kelly Security, also Sayreville. He was predeceased by his first wife, Frances Schultz. Surviving are his wife, Grace T. Nappi Schultz; three sons, Roy Schultz of Florida, Edward Schultz of Old Bridge and Carmen Semenca of Pennsylvania; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation is set for 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on July 26 at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. A Mass is planned for July 27 at St. Clement's Church, Matawan, at a time to be determined. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport.
Anne Burnham Griffith
Mrs. Griffith, 80, of Sayreville, formerly of South Amboy, died July 19, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Her husband, Delbert D. Griffith, M.D., died in 1993; a son, Peter, died in 1977; and another son, Paul, died in 1963. Surviving are two sons, David Griffith, and his wife, Donna, of Reading, Pa., and Patrick Griffith of Sayreville; eight daughters, Kathleen Griffith, and her husband, Thomas Pryzby, of Pierpont, N.Y., Cindy Griffith, Jane Griffith and Kelly Hogate, all of Sayreville, Sarah Griffith, and her husband, Jimmy, of Farmingdale, Louise Bradley, and her husband, Reuben, and Ellen Griffith, all of Old Bridge, and Anne Griffith, and her husband, Claude Kelsoe, of Southampton; two sisters-in-law, Rebecca Burnham of Pleasantville and Evelyn Smith of Monkton, Vt.; 15 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, also Sayreville.
Margaret J. Browne
Mrs. Browne, 82, of Old Bridge, formerly of Edison and Roselle Park, died July 17, 2007, in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. Her husband, Thomas Sr., died in 1988, and a son, Edward, died in 1993. Surviving are a son, Thomas Jr. of Old Bridge; a daughter, Barbara McVay, also of Old Bridge; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Interment was in Cloverleaf Park Cemetery, Woodbridge. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Joan E. Carman
Mrs. Carman, 75, of Eatontown, died July 12, 2007, in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Surviving are three daughters and one son-in-law, Jill Carman of West Long Branch, Colleen Carman of Keansburg, and June Carman and David Coulson of Eatontown; two sisters, Doris Uhrig Callahan of Massachusetts and Kay Uhrig Huether of Delaware; two brothers, George Uhrig of Sayreville and Don Uhrig of the Leonardo section of Middletown; and two grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Harold Flax
Mr. Flax, 86, of Surrey Downs, Howell, died July 20, 2007, in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was predeceased in 1965 by his first wife, Sylvia Flax, and in 1992 by his second wife, Charlotte Flax. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Sonia Flax of Long Island, N.Y.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Jack Benrubi of Old Bridge and Andrea and Robert Galperin of East Brunswick; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge. Arrangements were under the direction of Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan.
Jennifer "Cheers" Chirico
Ms. Chirico, 33, of Milltown, died July 6, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a front-end manager for Rickel Home Centers at various locations until the company closed. She was a driver and, most recently, a floral designer for Hanna's Florist, Milltown. She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Michael Chirico and Roy McLaughlin. Surviving are her parents, Elsie and Frank Chirico of Milltown; a brother, Frank Chirico Jr., and his wife, Lisa, of Ankeny, Iowa; a sister, Robyn Barnes, and her husband, John, of Ocala, Fla; her maternal grandmother, Mildred McLaughlin of Franklin Park; her paternal grandmother, Roberta Chirico of Milltown; her godparents, Dot DeAngelo and Lenny Szot, both of Milltown; two nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Arrangements were under the direction of Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home, Milltown. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Walter J. Siecinski
Mr. Siecinski, 56, of Old Bridge, formerly of Edison and the Fords section of Woodbridge, died July 18, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen; a son, John of Old Bridge; a daughter, Katie, also of Old Bridge; his parents, Patricia and Walter of Fords; a brother, David of Jamesburg; and a sister, Lori of South Amboy. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Blood donations in Mr. Siecinski's name may be made at the drive set for 3-8 p.m. on July 26 at the Friends Sons of the Shillelagh, 15 Oak St., Old Bridge.
