Sayreville Day fest scheduled for Sept. 16

Sayreville Day, a communitywide event, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 16 at Kennedy Park, Washington Road, Parlin section of Sayreville. Rain date is Sept. 23.

The opening ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. with an invocation by the Rev. Michael G. Krull, an honor guard, remarks by Mayor Kennedy O'Brien and songs from soloist Maggie Bera.

Music will be provided by DJ Phil Raimone. Triple H Productions will perform at 11:30 a.m. Patsy Palma will entertain at 1 p.m. FOG will take the stage at 2:30 p.m.

The celebration also will feature a food court with American and ethnic fare. Free gifts will be available for individuals who sign in at the hospitality table.
