Sayreville Day fest scheduled for Sept. 16
Sayreville Day, a communitywide event, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 16 at Kennedy Park, Washington Road, Parlin section of Sayreville. Rain date is Sept. 23. The opening ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. with an invocation by the Rev. Michael G. Krull, an honor guard, remarks by Mayor Kennedy O'Brien and songs from soloist Maggie Bera. Music will be provided by DJ Phil Raimone. Triple H Productions will perform at 11:30 a.m. Patsy Palma will entertain at 1 p.m. FOG will take the stage at 2:30 p.m. Radio station WMGQ will be on site from 10 a.m. to noon. The celebration also will feature a food court with American and ethnic fare, kiddie rides, a horse-and-carriage ride, a petting zoo and pony rides. Community invited to knights' family picnic
Knights of Columbus Council No. 2061 will hold a Community Family Picnic from 1-6 p.m. on Sept. 16 at the knights picnic grove, Washington Road, Parlin section of Sayreville. East Orange H.S. reunion set for Sept. 28
The East Orange High School classes of 1952 and 1953 will hold a reunion Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. at Spano's Restaurant in the White Sands Resort, Point Pleasant.
