Author will appear at Old Bridge preschool

Children's author Marcie Aboff will visit The Goddard School, 1480 Englishtown Road (Route 527), Old Bridge, at 9 a.m. on Aug. 29.

Parents are invited to stop in with their preschoolers to meet the author and join in as she presents an interactive program to Goddard School preschoolers.

Aboff is the author of picture books, easy-readers and chapter books. Her short stories are featured in a variety of national and international children's magazines including Highlights for Children, Spider and School Magazine. She also is the writer and designer of several novelty books for PBS television including "Clifford, the Big Red Dog" and "Maya and Miguel" as well as DreamWorks "Shrek" and "Madagascar." In addition, Aboff is a member of the Rutgers University Council on Children's Literature, The Authors Guild and The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
