Obituaries Norman M. Wick Mr. Wick, 82, of South Amboy, died Aug. 16, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Mae Noel Wick; a daughter, Linda Stanton of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a son, Norman Jr. of Pocono Summit, Pa.; a brother, Magnus of Lodi, Calif.; two sisters, Bertha Haakson of Staten Island, N.Y., and Martha Coohill of North Plainfield; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
Grace Maag Mrs. Maag, 63, of Melbourne, Fla., formerly of Sayreville, died July 31, 2007, in Melbourne. Surviving are her husband, Tom Maag; a daughter, Tracey Gustinbelli; a son, Steve Maag; and two brothers, Richard and Francis Holsworth. Services were held at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville. Arrangements were under the direction of Sayreville Memorial Funeral Home.
Theresa Steiner Firczuk Mrs. Firczuk, 92, of Sayreville, died Aug. 17, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress for more than 40 years with several area clothing manufacturers. Her husband, Andrew, died in 1989, and a son, Frank Stasse, died in 2001. Surviving are a daughter, Theresa "Sandy" Szumowski, and her husband, John "Shoe," of Sayreville; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Stasse of the Toms River section of Dover; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville. Thomas A. Klein Mr. Klein, 76, of Monroe, formerly of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Aug. 11, 2007, in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was a former deacon at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. He was predeceased by his first wife, Gisela G. Klein, and by two sons, Paul and Christopher. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Klein; two sons, Michael Klein, and his wife, Judith, of Westwood and Samuel Klein, and his wife, Michele, of Jackson; five daughters, Diane Flakker of Sayreville, Susan Miller, and her husband, Jeff, of Perkasie, Pa., Bettina Bennis, and her husband, John, of Woodbridge, Heidemarie Klein of Rahway and Margaret Furbush, and her husband, Bret, of Parlin; a brother, John Klein of Florida; and 12 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin. Francis J. "Sonny" Antonides Mr. Antonides, 83, of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, formerly of Sayreville, Florida and Helmetta, died Aug. 16, 2007, in Park Place Center, Genesis Health Care, Monmouth Junction. Prior to his retirement in 1986, he was employed at Carborundum Corp., Keasbey section of Woodbridge, where he worked for 35 years. His wife, Anna Trieckel Antonides, died in 2001. Surviving are five children, Albert Antonides of Hampton Beach, N.H., Cindy Prybylko, and her husband, Edward, of Sayreville, Keith Antonides, and his wife, Diane, of Woolwich and Dawn and Debra Antonides, both of Spotswood; two sisters, Margaret Seroka and Claire Raychel, both of Edison; and four grandchildren. Private services were under the direction of Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Memorial contributions may be made to the local chapter of the American Heart Association. Louis Eugene Rezem Sr. Mr. Rezem, 86, of East Brunswick, died Aug. 13, 2007, in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. The owner and manager since 1946 of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, formerly of South River, he also was past president of the New Jersey Funeral Directors Association. His wife, Christianna V. Muha Rezem, died in 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Marie L. Risley, and a son, Louis E. Rezem Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Mary Daly Zinis Mrs. Zinis, 89, of Monroe, formerly of Old Bridge, died Aug. 15, 2007, at home. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a medical clerk at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, where she worked for more than 20 years. Her husband, Louis J. Zinis, died in 2004. Surviving are a son, Edward A. Zinis of South Brunswick; two daughters, Judith Zinis of Princeton and Linda Novello of Freehold; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was private. Arrangements were under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick.
Mollie "Millie" Izzo Mrs. Izzo, 91, of Monroe, formerly of Old Bridge, died Aug. 10, 2007, in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Menkes; two grandsons, Jeffery D. Menkes and James D. Menkes; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Memorial services were held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Kyle J. Gliese Mr. Gliese, 28, of Spotswood, died Aug. 16, 2007, at home. A dean's-list student at Middlesex County College, Edison, where he was majoring in special education, he started his own business, A Touch of Class Towing and Road Service, Spotswood, in 2005. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Tom Saunders. Surviving are his wife, April Estrada Gliese; a son, Alexander; his mother, Darlene; two brothers, Christian of South River and Chad of Spotswood; his maternal grandmother, Dorris Saunders of Spotswood; his great-grandfather, Frank Janesky of Perth Amboy; an uncle and an aunt; and a nephew. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
Gary S. Galayda Mr. Galayda, 55, of Spotswood, formerly of East Brunswick, died Aug. 15, 2007, in Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Surviving are two daughters, Melissa Monroe, and her husband, Jamie, and Robyn Galayda, all of East Brunswick; his parents, Stephen and Irene Lorik Galayda of Spotswood; a sister, Karen Galayda of Spotswood; two brothers, Steven of Greece, N.Y., and James of Highland Park; three grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was private. William G. Devereaux Mr. Devereaux, 67, of South River, died Aug. 12, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement, he was an independent carpenter for many years. Surviving are two daughters, Dawn Feaster, and her husband, John, of Cowan, Tenn., and Tanya Kucharski, and her husband, Michael, of South River; four sisters, Jackie Koslowski, Roberta Ryan and Joyce Dawson, all of Spotswood, and Regina Boyle of Monroe; a brother, Michael Devereaux of Greenville, Mich.; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
