Jillian Grant of Old Bridge took first place in the 200 hurdles at the 2007 Russell Blunt East Coast invitational held at Duke University in July. She also competed in this year's AAU Nationals, which were held in August at the University of Tennessee.

In the 200 hurdles, she placed second in the nation for her age group and seventh in the pentathlon. Jillian is a member of the Supersonics Track Club. This fall she will be entering her freshman year at Old Bridge High School.

The 16U Morgan Magic girls fast-pitch travel softball team will hold tryouts for the 2008 season on the following dates and locations:

Saturday, Aug. 25, from 10 a.m. to noon at Waterfront Park in South Amboy; and Saturday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at Burkes Park in Sayreville.

For those who cannot attend on these dates and would like to make arrangements for a private tryout, please contact Coach Gary at (732) 754-2225 or Coach Roger at (732) 742-9146.

The Sayreville Lady Blue Devils U16 girls soccer team is looking to add some players for the 2007-08 season. The team will be getting together to play indoors in the winter, the spring season in MOSA and some spring tournaments.
