S.R. offers street hockey for Sayreville youngsters

South River Parks and Recreation invites interested Sayreville boys and girls ages 5-16 to play in a street-hockey program developed with the assistance of the New Jersey Devils.

Registration will take place from 7- 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 13 and 14 in the South River Elementary/Middle School auxiliary gym, Johnson Place.

Participants will play in sneakers and are required to purchase their own helmets with facemask. Teams will be grouped by age. Games will be played on Saturdays, and practices will be coordinated between each coach and the rec department. Cost is $35 and includes a $10 nonresident fee.
