Preventing foreclosure to be topic at seminar

Faith Fellowship Community Development Corporation (FFCDC) will host a homeownership clinic from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 15 at the FFCDC facilities, 2707 Main St., Sayreville.

Participants in the seminar will learn how to help protect their home. Topics will include how to work with a mortgage company to negotiate repayment plans, refinancing options to avoid rate adjustments, discounted loan products and how to sell a home in a changing market.

Professionals will be on site to assist homeowners in getting out of a high-interest loan, refinancing before their rate adjusts, deciding whether they need to sell and getting back on track with payments.

The event is free of charge and open to the public.

FFCDC is a HUD-certified housing counseling agency that has been offering foreclosure-prevention counseling to homebuyers and homeowners since 2003. In addition to the homeownership clinic on Sept. 15, FFCDC will offer classes titled "Homebuyers Education" and "Understanding, Building and Maintaining Your Credit" from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 22.

Advance-registration information and directions are available by logging on to www.ffcdc.net. For more information, call Faith Fellowship at (732) 727-9500.
