Seniors invited to pet shelter open house

Sayreville Pet Adoption Center, 1400 Main St., Sayreville, will hold an open house for seniors from 12:30-3 p.m. on Sept. 20.

Coffee, tea, cider and doughnuts will be served. The first 30 guests will receive discount coupons for Old Country Buffet. There will be door prizes, free gifts and raffles.

Seniors will learn about volunteer opportunities including assisting at the shelter, special events and pet fostering. The open house will feature reduced adoption rates for all senior adopters.
