Obituaries Alfonsa "Mima" Medina Mrs. Medina, 83, of Sayreville, formerly of Eatontown, died Sept. 11, 2007, in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Her husband, Francisco Medina, died in 2004; a son, Raymond Medina, died in 1969; and a granddaughter, Suzanne Scotto, died in 2006. Surviving are two sons, Frank, with whom she lived, John of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Alvin of Spring Lake; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. John K. Chawner Mr. Chawner, 86, of the Cheesequake Village section of Old Bridge, died Sept. 14, 2007, in Sunnyside Nursing Home, Manasquan. His first wife, Dorothy Chawner, died in 1987; his second wife, Lillian Chawner, died in 2000; and his third wife, Kathy Chawner, died in 2002. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Ann Chawner of Point Pleasant Beach and Thomas J. and Linda Chawner of Long Island, N.Y.; a brother, George Chawner of Florida; three grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge. Entombment was in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Patricia M. Moscato Mrs. Moscato, 59, of Old Bridge, died Sept. 9, 2007, in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are a son, Robert A. Moscato of Old Bridge; two brothers, Edward P. and Gene A. Konefal of Old Bridge; two sisters, Dorothy Beehler of Long Island, N.Y., and Linda Tortora of New York; her former husband, Anthony Moscato of Old Bridge; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements were under the direction of Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Maria M. Colon Mrs. Colon, 73, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Sept. 15, 2007, at home. Surviving are her husband, Valentin Colon; a daughter, Rose Mary Colon of Sayreville; a granddaughter, Rosemary Rosa, also of Sayreville; four brothers; and three sisters. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette's Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville. Raymond McGlyn Mr. McGlyn, 69, of Old Bridge, died Sept. 9, 2007, in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. His wife, Rita McGlyn, died this year. Surviving are two daughters, Ellen McGlyn of South Amboy and Elizabeth Crome of Neptune; a son, Raymond McGlyn of Freehold; five brothers, five sisters; and five grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Cremation was private. Joseph A. DeSimone Sr. Mr. DeSimone, 72, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, died Sept. 11, 2007, at home. Surviving are his wife, Ann Miles DeSimone; five children, Debbie Walsh of Bedminster, Joseph DeSimone Jr., and his wife, Cheryl, of Manchester, Karen Moss, and her husband, Bruce, of Jackson, Victoria Haresiak, and her husband, Frank, of South Amboy, and Guy Smith of St. Paul, Minn.; two brothers, Carmen DeSimone of Hollywood, Fla., and Thomas DeSimone of Howell; and nine grandchildren. Services were held at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge. John F. Kotter Mr. Kotter, 87, of East Brunswick, died Sept. 14, 2007, in Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice at Roosevelt Care Center, Edison. He was a painter with Painters Local No. 834, New Brunswick, for more than 25 years. Surviving are his wife, Jean Patrick Kotter; a son, John C. Kotter of East Brunswick; and a daughter, Gail Kotter of Sayreville. Cremation was private. Arrangements were under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. William Kent Lauzon Mr. Lauzon, 61, of Chapin, S.C., formerly of East Brunswick and the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, died Sept. 10, 2007, at home. Prior to his retirement in 2003, he worked for Rutgers University, New Brunswick, as a television producer/director for university projects and the game show "Rutgers Bowl" that aired on NJN public television in the late 1980s. During his 33 years with Rutgers he also served as an adjunct professor of television production and supervised the security staff on the Cook College and Douglass College campuses. After his retirement he worked with the South Brunswick YMCA. He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Joseph Lauzon. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Renaud Lauzon; three children, Daniele Medina, Renee Jordan, and her husband, Scott, all of St. Clair Shores, Mich., and Nicole of Ewing; a sister, Patricia Estabrook, and her husband, Michael, of Acton, Mass.; a brotherin law, Paul Renaud, and his wife, Sharon; a sister-in-law, Denise Renaud; three grandchildren; and his stepmother, Ann Lauzon. A Mass was offered at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, Kendall Park. Cremation was private. Interment was in South Carolina. Henry Uchno Mr. Uchno, 86, of South River, died Sept. 10, 2007, in University Medical Center at Princeton. His wife, Pearl M. Zieminski Uchno, died in 2002. Surviving are two sons, Henry Uchno Jr., and his wife, Mary, of Monroe, and Peter Uchno of North Carolina; a daughter, Maryann Newman of North Brunswick; five grandchildren, Joel Uchno, Daniel Uchno, Adam Newman, Jaimee Newman and Peter Uchno III; and many nieces and nephews. Conroy Conrad Mrs. Conrad, 63, of Spotswood, formerly of North Brunswick, died Sept. 6, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are two daughters, Christine Hudson of North Brunswick and Shanon Nason, and her husband, Len, of Spotswood; a son, Robert Hudson, and his wife, Sheila, of the Browns Mills section of Pemberton; a sister, Nancy Beach, and her husband, Robert, of Spotswood; five grandchildren; three nieces; and two great-nephews. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Peace Church, North Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Robert Charles Hahn Sr. Mr. Hahn, 60, of East Brunswick, formerly of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, died Sept. 14, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He was predeceased by his father, Raymond J. Hahn. Surviving are his wife, Eileen Windrem Hahn; two sons, Robert Hahn Jr. of New York City and Michael Hahn of Las Vegas, Nev.; a grandson, Michael J. Hahn; his mother, Jean Rommel Hahn of Brick; and a brother and a sister. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Surviving are her husband, James Culver; a daughter, Christine Palmer of Pocomoke, Md.; a son, Mark Culver of the Toms River section of Dover; a brother, Ken Baum of San Antonio, Texas; and four grandchildren.
