Holocaust panel slates 'Shanghai Experience'

The Ricklis Holocaust Memorial Committee will offer its annual fall program at 1 p.m. on Sept. 23 at the Monroe Township Public Library, 4 Municipal Plaza.

Topic will be "The Shanghai Experience," featuring Shanghai ghetto survivor Henry Meisel.

Approximately 20,000 Jews escaped Nazi rule at the beginning of the Holocaust and survived under Japanese occupation in Shanghai. The documentary "Shanghai Ghetto," on which Meisel served as an adviser, will be screened after his talk. Light refreshments will be served.

Free tickets are available at the library circulation desk; limit is two tickets per person.
