The Old Bridge Revolution U13 girls soccer team improved their record to 3-1 with a 2-0 victory over Colts Neck at Thompson Park.

Natalie Principato scored the first goal in the 43rd minute and Kelly Cameron punched in a goal in the 55th minute in a thrilling and hard-fought game. Melina Kontos recorded a shutout for the third time this season with help from defenders Kaitlyn Safchinsky, Emily Garcia, Kristen Jezycki and Meaghan Huddy. Midfielders Natasha Amaro, Natalie Norcutt, Tonilynn Taranto, Melissa Jerome and Kelsey Dunnigan controlled the tempo of the game throughout the afternoon. Strikers Kim D'Ermilio and Kelsiann Acer kept pressure on the defense helping to secure the victory.

In a MOSA Premier battle of archrivals, the U11 Old Bridge Thunder and the Toms River United played to a 2-2 draw this week at Gieck Park in Old Bridge. The Thunder played extremely well, opening the scoring in the eighth minute on an Alyssa Kramer goal from a beautiful Alexis Suarez cross from the right side. Then later in the first half, Suarez drilled a 20-yard shot to go up 2-1 at the half. Old Bridge battled all day, but gave up the equalizer with five minutes left to play. Goalkeeper Gina Colamonico and fullbacks Nicole Velez, Angelique Giglio and Tanvi Lodhia thwarted the United attack. Spirited play from Samantha Potts, Gianna Taranto, Vanessa Mantione, Kristina Hourican, Alexandria D'Acunto, Katherine Conway, Samantha Hourican and Elana Konichowsky led the Thunder throughout the day. The Thunder now stand four points out of first place.

The Raritan Bay Cougars hosted the Trenton Tornados in Week 6. The Junior Pee Wees won 27-0. Minkah Fitzpatrick had a pair of touchdowns this week on a run and a punt return. Julanee Prince scored, and Mike Torres got his first touchdown of the season on a quarterback sneak at the goal line. A great defensive stance from the Cougars was led by Mike Milazzo and Charlie Haggerty, who picked off a Tornado pass late in the game.

The Pee Wees won 16-0, as Alex Hoheb and Dwayne Trawick both scored for the Cougars on the ground. The Pee Wee defense was solid with strong performances from Bob Gavares and Bailey Escaleira. In the final game of the day, the Midget team was defeated 19-8. The only score for the Cougars came courtesy of Julian Daly.

New Jersey's only minor league sixman football team, the Bayshore Brawlers, is bringing the Pennsylvania Six-Man Football League trophy back to the Bayshore area for the second year in a row. The Brawlers were led on offense by league rushing leader Sy Patterson, tight end Marques Haynes and quarterback Ed Cox. Fighting in the trenches alongside Haynes were offensive linemen Bill Lawton and John Mulligan. Also contributing to the offense was running back David Morera.

On defense, the Brawlers were led by one of the most fearsome defensive back duos in Frank Susino and Fred Leo. Antoine Tolbert, alongside defensive linemen John Hartman and Stephon Hickson, tamed the Wildcats' rushing attack and put tremendous pressure on the quarterback.

The ageless wonder, Dave Strollo, contributed to the defensive line with some hard hits. As the clock ticked down, the final score was 84-64, the most points the Brawlers scored in their two-year history.
