Run/walk will benefit Brain Injured Children

The borough of Sayreville will hold its fifth annual Hit the Bricks 5-Mile Run or Walk beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 13 at Sayreville Borough Hall, Main Street. The race will benefit the Sayreville Association for Brain Injured Children. Event-day registration is set for 8-9:15 a.m.

The 500-point Grand Prix, USA Track and Field (USATF)-certified course will begin in front of Borough Hall and wind through the town's hills and flats. All runners who register in advance will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded to the first 200 finishers, overall winners, age-group winners and master's winners. All proceeds from the race will be donated the Sayreville Association for Brain Injured Children.
