Dinner meeting next up for environmental panel

The Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a dinner meeting set for 7 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the Milltown Senior Center, 60 Violet Terrace.

All members, friends of the partnership and interested residents are invited to attend the free event. The meal will be prepared by panel members.

Guest speaker Shandor Szalay, a waterresources scientist, watershed planner and aquatic-systems-restoration designer, will offer a presentation titled "Designing a River: Emerging Challenges and Opportunities for Stream Restoration." A questionand answer session will follow.

The partnership is a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to the stewardship of the Lawrence Brook Watershed in East Brunswick, North Brunswick, South Brunswick, New Brunswick and Milltown.
