'Menopause and Beyond' to be screened at meeting

The Alisa Chapter of Hadassah will present "Menopause and Beyond - New Wisdom for Women," the video featuring Dr. Christiane Northrup, at 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 15 in the library and media room at the Monroe Township Library, 4 Municipal Plaza.

Dr. Northrup, an expert on women's health who has appeared on Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) during pledge weeks and whose latest book was on the New York Times Best-Seller List, focuses on how to take hormones safely, as well as alternatives that are natural and nutritious; what triggers hot flashes and night sweats and how to prevent them; nutritional tips to lose weight and reduce menopausal symptoms; how to cultivate midlife beauty, inside and out; new ways to enhance breast and heart health; and how to experience the best sex of one's life after menopause.

Medicare cards will be laminated free of charge at the meeting.
