Phillips, a friend of sports and youth programs
Ifirst met Jim Phillips 10 years ago through our association with youth baseball in Old Bridge. It is here that I got to see firsthand Jim's dedication to the youth of Old Bridge. As mayor, Jim Phillips supports not only youth baseball but also all programs for the young throughout the township.

Look at what Mayor Phillips has accomplished. The opening of Phillips Park and its ongoing improvements is a major plus, as is the installation of lights at the soccer fields. Mannino Park will house baseball and softball fields in addition to a new YMCA building that young people and adults can use. The mayor has also helped many sports leagues obtain grants to improve their facilities. The mayor spearheaded meetings to bring five leagues together, and he was instrumental in re-establishing the Mayor's Trophy Baseball Tournament, which lay dormant for years.

I have worked with Mayor Phillips on some of these projects and look forward to working with him in the future. But we need this friend of youth sports to be re-elected. Support Mayor Phillips and Team Old Bridge candidates for Township Council - Pat Gillespie, Ed Testino and Joe Pruiti - on Election Day.
