Sulikowski displays leadership, integrity, independent thinking
Wanted: People who cannot be bought, whose word is their bond, who will not lose their individuality in a crowd, who will make no compromise with wrong, and who are not ashamed or afraid to stand for the truth when it is unpopular.

I have observed these qualities in Matthew Sulikowski, the independent candidate for mayor of Old Bridge. He refuses to accept any campaign donations. Matt understands our needs because he is one of us. He has no patience for political nonsense. Matt thrives on innovative ideas and new approaches to old problems. He looks at situations with an expectation that he will make things better. For 33 years Matt was a teacher in Old Bridge and knows our community well. Now retired, he is passionate about creating a town we can all be proud of.

During the 18 months that Matt has been on the Old Bridge Board of Education he has worked diligently to better the educational system for our children, made the administration and Board of Education more accountable, and tried to cut costs and save taxpayers money.

Leaders are like eagles … they don't flock together. Instead, you find them one at a time. We have found a leader in Matt, and now have an opportunity to make Old Bridge all that it can be. It is up to us, the voters of Old Bridge, to stand up and be counted. Pretty good is no longer acceptable - we deserve only the very best. To accomplish this, all we need do is vote on Nov. 6 and elect Matt Sulikowski as our mayor.
