Band show, competition coming to SWMHS

The Sayreville War Memorial High School (SWMHS) Marching Unit will host its 22nd annual Home Band Show and Competition beginning at 10 a.m. on Oct. 27 at the high school, Washington Road. There will be a retreat at midday. The day's activities are scheduled to end at approximately 10 p.m.

This year's event will feature the United States Scholastic Band Association (USSBA) New Jersey State Championships competition for USSBA groups 1A, 3A and 6A. More than 40 high school bands from across the state are scheduled to compete.
