Republicans are positive candidates, will be asset to council
Two candidates for Sayreville Borough Council, David Kaiserman and Paula Siarkiewicz, have been out campaigning, ringing doorbells, introducing themselves, espousing their platform and issues for the coming election. Both candidates are familiar with the needs of the community. They have excellent backgrounds and would be positive candidates and an asset to the council.

David Kaiserman is a high school teacher, a member of the emergency squad and president of the condominium association where he resides. Paula Siarkiewicz was a former president of the union of the local New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) affiliate and has worked in the financial department of St. Barnabas Hospital. Sayreville needs leadership, not dictatorship.

Alvah Cox, former president of the Sayreville Board of Education, also is a candidate for council. If you recall, he was partially responsible for giving former Superintendent of Schools Dennis Fyffe an exorbitant increase in his three-year contract, to which the residents strongly voiced objection. Fyffe left his position within a few months. Because of Cox's financial irresponsibility in this matter, I would classify him as a negative candidate for council.

Join me in voting for the re-election of Mayor Kennedy O'Brien, an outstanding and effective mayor who has realistic vision Sayreville, with Kaiserman and Siarkiewicz for council.
