Harry Zajac
Mr. Zajac, 83, of Englishtown, formerly of Old Bridge, died Sept. 30, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was predeceased in 1986 by his wife, Bernice, and in 1995 by a son, Howard. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Krisanne Zajac of Howell; a sister, Rifka Teitelbaum of Israel; his companion, Carolyn Brown of Englishtown; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury, NJ 07702.
Nellie Panas Wnukowski
Mrs. Wnukowski, 95, of Sayreville, died Oct. 4, 2007, at home. Prior to her retirement in 1964, she was a registered nurse, working in private duty for 32 years. Her husband, Lucian "Pro" Wnukowski, died in 1991. Surviving are a son, Stas Wnukowski of Sayreville; two daughters, Mary Lou Guididas, and her husband, Edward, of the Martinsville section of Bridgewater and Rosalie Carroll of the Mercerville section of Hamilton; a sister, Flora Kouf of New York; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Harold J. Opel
Mr. Opel, 90, of Hamilton, formerly of Hazlet, died Oct. 17, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. Surviving are two nieces, Maryann Flanagan of Sayreville and Roberta Bell of Hudson, Fla.; five great-nieces; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Interment was in Flower Hill, North Bergen. Arrangements were under the direction of Sayreville Memorial Funeral Home. Philip J. Maggio
Mr. Maggio, 81, of Manalapan, died Oct. 11, 2007, in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Surviving are his wife, Lucy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Santo and Carol Maggio of Naples, Fla., and Charles and Rose Maggio of Old Tappan; a daughter and son-inlaw, Mary and John Bocchino of Old Bridge; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment was in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville section of Marlboro.
Raymond Lonczak
Mr. Lonczak, 73, of Jackson, formerly of East Brunswick, died Oct. 18, 2007, in Care One at East Brunswick. Surviving are a sister, Constance Balitsky, and her husband, of East Brunswick; a niece, Celine Balitsky; a nephew, Fred Balitsky; and a great-niece and a greatnephew. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Mary Cygan Kucharski
Mrs. Kucharski, of South River, died Oct. 22, 2007, in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1980, she was employed as a seamstress with R&P Wash Suit, South River. Her husband, John, died in 1985. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann Reinhard, and her husband, Jim, of South River; two sons, John Kucharski, and his wife, Janice, of South River, and Robert Kucharski, and his wife, Phyllis, of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Jeannie Estok of Sayreville and Rose Nosta of Perth Amboy; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on Oct. 25 at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Lorraine Domino Vislosky
Mrs. Vislosky, of East Brunswick, died Oct. 11, 2007, in Lake Pointe Medical Center, Rowlett, Texas. A registered nurse for 30 years prior to her retirement in 2004, she worked at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick, Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division, and in private practice for a surgeon in New Brunswick. She also worked as a substitute nurse for East Brunswick Public Schools. Her husband, James Vislosky, died in 1994, and her father, Dominic Domino, died in September. Surviving are her mother, Julia Kish Domino of East Brunswick; a son, James F. Vislosky Jr., and his wife, Nadine, of the Parlin section of Sayreville; a daughter, Susan Savarese, and her husband, Joseph, of Wylie, Texas; a brother, Joseph Domino of East Brunswick; a sister, Madeline Sanderson of Pleasant Mount, Pa.; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew's Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Ronald S. Dutka
Mr. Dutka, 66, of South Brunswick, died Oct. 12, 2007, at home. He was a landlord for several properties in the New Brunswick area for more than 20 years, retiring in 2001. Surviving his wife, Rosemarie Grippo Dutka; two daughters, Christine Green of Old Bridge and Victoria Brinkerhoff of Spotswood; a son, Ronald Dutka Jr. of Spotswood; a stepdaughter, Jeanette Roberts of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and nine grandchildren. A Mass was celebrated at St. Cecilia's Church, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Christopher Steven Pinnola
Christopher, age 2, of Manalapan, died Oct. 13. He was born in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Edward. Surviving are his parents, Steven and Carolyn; two sisters, Ashley and Valerie; his maternal grandmother, Marguerite Gregory of Marlboro; his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Anita Pinnola of Staten Island, N.Y.; and eight aunts and uncles. Arrangements were under the direction of Freeman Manalapan- Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Freehold Township.
