Environmental panel to sponsor nature walk

The Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership (LBWP) will host a 4-Mile Nature Walk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 27 in Bicentennial Park, Riva Avenue and Hardenburg Lane, East Brunswick, and in wooded areas of Farrington Lake.

Naturalist Andy Besold will lead the walk, exploring woodlands, trees, vegetation and animals and studying nature. Participants, who should wear long pants and shirts and strong shoes or boots, are advised to bring a packed lunch and water.

Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for members and children.

For more information or directions, call Alan Godber at (732) 846-4476 or the LBWP office at (732) 249-5297, or log on to www.lbwp.org. The Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership is a nonprofit organization serving the environmental interests of East Brunswick, Milltown, South Brunswick, North Brunswick and New Brunswick.
