Program to focus on postpartum depression

The Diocese of Metuchen and the Central New Jersey Maternal and Child Health Consortium Inc. will sponsor a New Jersey State Postpartum Depression Awareness Program from noon to 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 at the St. John Neumann Pastoral Center, 146 Metlars Lane, Piscataway.

All are invited to learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of postpartum depression and to identify and access referral resources for women and families in need of treatment. Lunch will be included as part of the event.

The program is free of charge, but advance registration is requested. Call (732) 562-1990, ext. 1629 to reserve a space.
