Clockwise from top left: East Brunswick's Raphael Smith reacts as his shot on goal just goes wide against North Brunswick in the quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA Group IV Tournament in North Brunswick Nov. 2. East Brunswick's Jeremy Merkel (8) and a North Brunswick player battle for control of the ball during the game. East Brunswick's Matthew Yu defends the ball in front of North Brunswick's Evans Ofori. A North Brunswick player comes over to console East Brunswick's Steven Fawzy with his shirt over his head after the game, which top-seeded North Brunswick won, 2-1, in overtime. North Brunswick's Ibrahim Kamara scored the game-winner just 3:57 into the first overtime period. The Rutgers-bound senior also scored the first tally of the contest for North Brunswick (19-1). On Oct. 26, East Brunswick handed the Raiders their first loss of the season, a 3-1 defeat in a semifinal game of the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament. North Brunswick eventually lost to fourth-seeded Howell 2-1 on Tuesday.
