• Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar, sponsored by Sons of Norway Noreg Lodge No. 466, Marlboro, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 17, 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 18, at the Old Bridge Community Center, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, next to police headquarters. Free admission. Public invited.

• Texas Hold-Em Tournament/Football Buffet, to benefit the Chris Cooper Scholarship Fund, 1-5 p.m., at Palms Plaza Catering, Park Plaza, Route 34, Old Bridge. Poker tournament, buffet dinner, three big-screen televisions for watching football games. Cost is $125 per player (with a $15 discount for the first 50 players to sign up), $45 for nonplayers/spectators; price includes tournament buy-in and unlimited food, beer, wine, soda.
