The Monroe U13 Lady Falcons fell to unbeaten Howell 32-24 in MidMonmouth Basketball League play.

Monroe yielded a 9-0 first quarter lead that it could not overcome even though it outscored Howell the rest of the way. The offense was balanced with Samantha Clark and Jackie Racine each netting 4 points while Kylie Davidson and Jena Pritzlaff each hit a 3 pointer.

Alexa Carini, Victoria Clayton, Christina Felice, Kristen Junquet and Keriann Manziano each added a basket.

Stephanie Johler and Meghan Mc- Claren provided some key defensive minutes during the game. Clayton pulled in 10 rebounds while Clark (6 rebounds) and Racine (4 rebounds) each hit the boards as well. Monroe, who is now 6-2, takes on Middletown's MYAA team next.
