Assemblyman to offer Medicare Part D Day

Assemblyman Sam Thompson (R-13) will sponsor a Medicare Part D Day from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 at the George Bush Senior Center, Old Bridge municipal complex, Route 516 and Cottrell Road.

The event is designed for those who would like individual help reviewing or enrolling in Medicare Part D prescription-drug coverage. Eligible individuals may change their plan during the annual open enrollment period, Nov. 15-Dec. 31 every year.

Medicare-trained counselors will sit down one-on-one with each individual to explore ways of saving money on prescription-drug costs with Part D and to assist seniors in finding the plan that is best for them. The counselors also will help Medicare beneficiaries enroll in the plan of their choice.
