Margaret M. Pope Abbott

Mrs. Abbott, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of East Brunswick, died Nov. 14, 2007, in Estelle House Hospice, Ocala. Prior to her retirement in 1998, she was an office worker for several area nursing homes. She was predeceased by a son, James "Buster" Abbott III. Surviving are her husband, James H. Abbott; three sons, Mark H. Abbott, and his wife, Nicole, Michael J. Abbott, and his wife, Donna, all of Ocala, and Bruce J. Abbott of Oklahoma; three daughters, Colleen A. Ferguson, and her husband, John, of Gilette, Wy., Marleen A. Huggins, and her husband, John, of Maricopa, Ariz., and Eugenia Marie "Genie" Abbott of Augusta, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. John the Baptist Church, New Brunswick. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville. Memorial contributions may be made to any chapter of Disabled American Veterans.
