Pauline T. Blaska Novik

Mrs. Novik, 90, formerly of Sayreville, died Nov. 28, 2007, in Overlook Hospital, Summit. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for 25 years as a fourth-grade teacher at St. Stanislaus Kostka School, Sayreville. Her husband, John Novik, died in 2003. Surviving are a daughter, Geri Smith, and her husband, Al, of Scotch Plains; a son, John "Jack" Novik of Old Bridge; a brother, Henry Blaska, and his wife, Wanda, of Sayreville; and a grandson, Alexander Smith III of New York City, and a granddaughter, Allyson Smith of the Basking Ridge section of Bernards. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.
