Museum will explore history of Santa Claus

The East Brunswick Museum, 16 Maple St., will present a Holiday Traditions program through Dec. 30.

The event will take a look at the history of Santa Claus. Participants will view early photos, hear stories and poems and discover how Santa evolved through the centuries from early European times. There will an opportunity to view the museum's Victorian Parlor and antique Christmas ornaments adorning the tree in the main room, taste samples from the gingerbread-cookie tree and take a look at Harold Hoffman's childhood ornaments in the Elephant Room.

For more information, call (732) 257- 1508.

The museum is sponsored in part by a grant from the township of East Brunswick Division of Parks and Recreation and the Middlesex County Cultural Commission.
