Students to celebrate 'Christmas in Hawaii'

Students at St. Bartholomew School will present "Christmas in Hawaii," an evening program for family and friends set for Dec. 14 in the auditorium at the school, 470 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick.

The event will include traditional Christmas carols and selections from Handel's "The Messiah." There also will be music from the Pacific featuring songs with an Hawaiian flair. The presentation will close with a living Nativity scene, acted out by the school's eighth-graders.

St. Bart's students will be under the artistic direction of Frances Savio, who has served as music, drama, band and chorus instructor for more than 40 years.

Admission is free of charge; free-will donations will be accepted at the door.

For more information and exact time, call the school at (732) 254-7105.
