Florence Sarnecki McDermott

Mrs. McDermott, 77, of the Melrose section of Sayreville, died Dec. 9, 2007, at home. Prior to her retirement in 1994, she was employed by Retailers and Manufacturers Distribution, Raritan Center, Edison. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert McDermott, and by a son, Peter Mc- Dermott. Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" McDermott-Hicks, and her husband, Charles, of the Somerset section of Franklin; a sister, Geraldine Lewis of Perth Amboy; a brother, Frank Sarnecki of the Lanoka Harbor section of Lacey; two grandchildren, Brittany A. Hicks and Robert C. Hicks; and many nieces and nephews, including Jacalyn Wisniewski Post. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morgan First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 296, South Amboy, NJ 08879.
