Councilman defends vote as fiscally responsible
      Some have questioned my decision to vote against a bond ordinance ("Council Rejects $200K for Land Near Firehouse," Suburban, Dec. 20) at a recent Borough Council meeting. Quite frankly, I am surprised that one of my final votes as a councilman in Sayreville would cause such fanfare.

Parking lot would generate more traffic, harm landscape
      As a Sayreville resident, I am all too familiar with the ever-increasing traffic in town. The Borough Council is doing the right thing by trying to preserve 3 acres of land along Washington Road across from the 9/11 Memorial.
