Dayton E. Lewis

Mr. Lewis, 83, of Howell, formerly of the Parlin section of Sayreville and the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, died Dec. 17, 2007, in CareOne at Jackson. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he was a welder for Ford Motor Co., Metuchen, where he worked for 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Lewis; a son and daughter-in-law, Dayton E. and Barbara Lewis of Howell; two sisters, Leona Guild of New York and Elda Smith of Hunlock Creek, Pa.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, with the Rev. Dan Brindley officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.
