Pro-wrestling event to aid Special Olympics

South River Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1451, Reid Street, will be the setting for a National Wrestling Superstars Show set for 7:45 p.m. on Jan. 25. Proceeds will benefit the New Jersey Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge.

The evening of all-star professional wrestling will feature the second annual Jersey J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament with current champions The Psychedelic Studs (Ace Darling and Nicky Oceans) vs. area tag teams including The Wild Breed and The Gemini Trojans. In addition, former wrestling stars America's Hero: The Pa- triot and The Blue Meanie will join forces to challenge other teams. Also appearing will be Rikishi.

Tickets cost $19 for adults, $17 for youngsters and seniors and are available at Villaggio's Pizza, Main Street, South River; TJ's Pizza, BordentownAvenue and Cheesequake Road, Parlin section of Sayreville; Minit Mart, Main Street, Sayreville; and Grand Slam Cards, 102 S.
