Girl's homicide still being probed

SAYREVILLE- Police are seeking information on the murder of an 18-year-old girl that occurred in 1999.

Mondaymarked the ninth anniversary of the unsolved homicide that took place in the Parlin section of the borough. The remains of 18-year-old Nancy Cathleen Noga, who lived in Skytop Gardens, were found across the street fromher apartment complex, behind theMiniMall onErnston Road.

The cause of her deathwas determined to be blunt force trauma to the head, police said.

Nogawas last seen alive leaving her part-time job at the Rag Shop store, located on Route 9 north in Old Bridge, at 6:15 p.m. that Jan. 7.

Noga, who was a senior at Sayreville War Memorial High School, stood 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighed 120 pounds, according to police.At school,Noga had been in the top half of her class andwas involved in the French and science clubs. She was scheduled to graduate that June, and was planning to join the U.S.Air Force.
