Abduction prevention to be topic at seminar

Tiger Schulmann'sMixedMartialArts of East Brunswick will conduct a free Abduction Prevention Seminar for Children from 4:30-6 p.m. on Jan. 18 at Tiger Schulmann's of East Brunswick, Loehmann's Plaza, 23, Route 18. The seminarwill focus on teaching children basic abduction-prevention skills through a combination of real-life situation skits and through lectures about avoidance of strangers and the need to establish code words and escape techniques.

Instruction also will be provided regardingwhat to do andwhat not to dowhile home alone. Parents will be coached on the importance of educating their children on identifying and reacting to potentially dangerous situations.

The free seminar is part of Tiger Schulmann's Mixed Martial Arts Childsafe Program, established in 1992 to teach child-safety awareness and to encourage communication between parents and children regarding vital issues.
