Hilda Otto Madden

Mrs. Madden, 80, of South River, formerly of Old Bridge, died Jan. 11, 2008. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a bookkeeper for the borough of South River Utilities Department, where she worked for many years. Her husband, Richard Madden, died in 2002. Surviving are two daughters, Connie Valenti, and her husband, Joseph, of Berkeley Heights and Carol Wollman of Largo, Fla.; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, also East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
