Children's Hospital fundraising to be topic

The Junior Woman's Club of the Greater Brunswick Area will host Theresa Valentino, director of development for the Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation, New Brunswick, at 8 p.m. on March 3 at United Methodist Church, Main Street, Milltown.

Valentino will discuss methods by which the general public may support the foundation's fundraising efforts. The hospital, which never turns anyone away based on an inability to pay, relies on donations to ensure that every child is taken care of. Topics will include upcoming events and other avenues of giving.

Children's Specialized Hospital is the nation's largest pediatric-rehabilitation hospital. With 11 sites in New Jersey, including a new inpatient center in New Brunswick, the hospital treats 16,000 children with special needs each year.

The Junior Woman's Club of the Greater Brunswick Area is a group of women ages 18-40 who work to ensure that the needs of those in their community are met.
