Catherine M. "Kitty" Jayne Serrano

Mrs. Serrano, 79, of Old Bridge, formerly of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Feb. 13, 2008. Her husband, Charles T. Serrano, died in 1988, and a son-in-law, Michael Powell, died in 2006. Surviving are two daughters, Janie Powell and Stephanie Vera, and her husband, Diego, all of Old Bridge; two sisters, Sister Therese Jayne, O.P., of Amityville, N.Y., and Mary Finn of Uniondale, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
