Residents invited to garden workshop

The Middlesex County Office of Rutgers Cooperative Extension Service will present a garden workshop from 1-3 p.m. on March 8 at the EARTH Center in Davidson's Mill Pond Park, South Brunswick.

Topic will be "Your Houseplants: Care and Propagation." Marianne Whitehead, program assistant, Extension Agriculture Department, will offer tips on keeping houseplants healthy, propagating plants and rejuvenating older, favorite plants.

Houseplants help to maintain air quality by filtering gases emitted by certain home furnishings such as synthetic carpeting, fabrics and laminated counters. Registration is required by March 5. Program fee is $25. Class size is limited. For more information and to register, call (732) 398 5262 or log on to www.co.middlesex.nj.us/xtensionservices.
