Real reform, not flimflam tactics, needed
We need real solutions to our financial problems in this state, not smoke and mirrors. The governor's idea of borrowing money against our toll roads and developing two corporations run by cronies receiving huge salaries and perks is not a solution but a get-rich-quick scheme for some where the taxpayers of this state are the dupes.

The following are real fixes:

1. Pensions are to be set by the average of the last three years' base salary - not to include overtime.

2. No pension can be paid higher than at two-thirds of the average of the last three years' base salary - not to include overtime.

3. All individuals, working or retired, are to pay a minimum deductible for health care per month and a deductible when seeing a physician and receiving medication.

4. There will be no pensions paid to the state legislators for any reason, as this is a parttime job and many legislators are in office a short time and receive a lifetime pension - not fair to the taxpayers.

5. There will be no healthcare perks to state legislators for any reason, as this is a part-time job and many legislators are in office a short time and receive a lifetime pension - not fair to the taxpayers.

6. Keep the people of the state as your prime objective, not the state legislators and other private interested parties' pockets.

We need real reform in this state, not flimflam tactics.
