Purim in Japan to be celebrated in E.B.

Chabad Jewish Center of East Brunswick will host a holiday celebration, Purim in Japan, beginning at 6:45 p.m. on March 20 in the Riva Fire Hall, 540 Riva Ave., East Brunswick.

The event will feature a Japanese buffet dinner and a full sushi bar operated by the sushi chefs of Arirang Hibachi Steakhouse, using kosher food. There will be Japanese Shodo art name-painters, a martial-arts show, a masquerade, music with singing and dancing, L'chaims, a children's multimedia megillah presentation and hamantaschen and graggers for all.

The entire Jewish community, regardless of affiliation or background, is invited to the family event.

Admission is $15 for adults, $8 for children. Cost includes dinner and all entertainment.
