Two arrested after altercation

SAYREVILLE- Two Parlin men were arrested on assault charges after a fight broke out on a cul-de-sac recently.

Police charged Noah Gabriel Casiano, 29, with aggravated assault, and James Dickinson, 41, with simple assault at 7:05 a.m. Feb. 28, after police were dispatched to Pebble Place, the scene of the altercation.

P

olice separated the two men, who

were reportedly engaged in a verbal dispute when police arrived. Authorities observed blood running down Dickinson's face and a laceration on the top of his head, and called the Morgan First Aid Squad to respond to the scene.

According to witness accounts relayed in the police report, Dickinson was intoxicated and had been involved in an argument with another individual. Casiano intervened, and Dickinson allegedly assaulted him. It was reported that Casiano allegedly struck back at Dickinson with a small table, and restrained him until police arrived.

Casiano was additionally charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose due to his alleged use of the object in striking the other suspect. He was transported to the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center, North Brunswick, where his bail was set at $5,000 with no 10 percent option.

Dickinson was transported to Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy, for treatment of the injury to his head.
