Conservation Poster Contest to focus on water

"Water Is Life" is the theme for the 2008 Conservation Poster Contest sponsored by Freehold Soil Conservation District and the New Jersey Association of Conservation Districts. Students from Middlesex and Monmouth counties are invited to explore how important water is to everyday life- in homes, schools, farms, parks, communities, etc. - and to illustrate their ideas. Prizes of $100, $75 and $50 for first-, second- and thirdplace winners will be awarded. All first-place winning entries will be submitted for state-level competition, and one grand champion poster will be selected and reproduced on a pocket-folder for statewide distribution.

For details and entry forms, call (732) 683-8500, e-mail krowe@freeholdscd.org, or download online at www.freeholdscd.org.
