Volunteers sought for NJDEP beach cleanup

New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is looking for volunteers for the annual spring "Adopt-A-Beach" program April 12 on beaches from Atlantic Highlands to Cape May.

Volunteers and group leaders are asked to participate by adopting a beach and organizing a clean up. NJDEP provides the supplies. Last year volunteers covered 49 miles of beach and removed several thousands of pounds of trash. For more information, call (609) 292-3224, or mail NJDEP, Attn.: Adopt a Beach Program, P.O. 402, Trenton, NJ 08625.
