Defends Wisniewski as dedicated, hardworking, effective
I am writing this letter in response to the letter from Barbara Kilcomons referring to Assemblyman John Wisnewski (D-19) as a dictator ("Resident Calls for Sayreville Democratic Chairman To Step Down," Suburban, "Your Turn" guest column, March 20).

It is humorous that she claims to be a diligent Democrat in the same letter in which she defends our Republican mayor.

I left the Republican Party and became a Democrat because of John Wisniewski's strong leadership and hardworking philosophy. I have never seen anyone in any party work as hard or show the dedication that our assemblyman has.

I am fortunate enough to be invited to the Democratic Committee meetings as a guest. JohnWisniewski is chairman of the party. Because he is an attorney and accomplished political leader, many people will go to him for advice, and he is happy to help. I, myself, as chairman of the Sayreville Zoning Board and a commissioner on the Sayreville Economic Redevelopment Agency (SERA), have often sought John's thoughts and ideas on upcoming projects.

If Mrs. Kilcomons worked half as hard at being the Democrat she claims she is, then she would follow John's strong lead and help the party and its causes instead of spreading lies and innuendos, as in her letter.

John Wisniewski has done a lot for Sayreville and the state of New Jersey. All you have to do is read the newspaper to see how he is leading the fight against our governor to eliminate the astronomical raises to our tolls, and locally he has secured $10 million in aid for Sayreville for the Main Street bypass.
