Teen board to sponsor 'Go Green at Library'

The Sayreville Public Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) will host "Get Down to Earth and Do Your Part - Go Green at Your Library," a community event designed to promote environmental awareness, from noon to 5 p.m. on April 19 at the library, Washington Road.

TAB members will collect old cell phones, eyeglasses and batteries and will distribute information on ways to help the environment. The planting of a tree is scheduled for noon. Youngsters are invited to stop at the library children's room for an Earth Day craft activity at 2 p.m.

New Sayreville Public Library cloth tote bags will be available for purchase at $1 each.
